Mid States Hockey

Mission Statement

The 2017-2018 season marks the 47th year of existence for CBC Hockey.  Our program consists of three teams, including Varsity, Junior Varsity Purple and Junior Varsity Gold, which are all affiliated with the Mid-States Club Hockey Association.  We cater to various skills levels from players with professional and collegiate aspirations to those who simply play for the love of the game.  Our program enables over 60 student-athletes to play at a competitive level, while enjoying the unique “high school hockey experience.”  Each team is coached by our own alumni, who take tremendous pride and continue our decades-old traditions.

Our program has an illustrious history of success unrivaled by most of our competitors.  We have earned 16 Varsity Mid-States titles and 16 at the Junior Varsity level.  11 of the Varsity titles were won consecutively in 1987-88, 2003-05, 2007-09, and 2014-17.  We have also accomplished a rare feat of holding a 132-game unbeaten streak lasting from December 29, 2003 to March 8, 2006, with a record of 128-0-4.  These successes would not be possible without the support and dedication of our alumni and fans.

Members of the CBC Hockey community are confident we will have another terrific season with each team.  Our culture of discipline, hard-work and dedication will again be exemplified through its players and staff.  We anticipate our CBC Hockey faithful will continue to enjoy a quality product on and off the ice.

We are very thankful for the unwavering support from the CBC faculty and administration, including Principal Tim Seymour, President Michael Jordan, Dean of Students Jeff Myer and Athletic Director Rocky Streb.  Their endless encouragement and assistance are very much appreciated by the CBC Hockey family. The La Sallian mission and values taught to our players in the classroom have played a major role in shaping our first-class program.

CBC Hockey also extends its appreciation to our sponsors, advertisers and donors.  Your generosity has offset a significant portion of player expenses, making CBC Hockey more affordable for deserving student-athletes.  Missouri high school hockey is still a club sport, which means each team is responsible for its own finances, including league fees, ice time, uniforms and many others.

We are grateful for the committed parents and alumni who have worked tirelessly and sacrificed much of their valuable time to organize our ad book, golf tournament, alumni events, and team functions.  Members of CBC Hockey will always recognize all of the dedicated people who have helped put this fine product on the ice.

Sincerely,

The CBC Hockey Staff
